We are excited to share that several LASA students recently competed in the San Diego Crew Classic (SDCC)—one of the most prestigious high school rowing regattas in the country, held annually on Mission Bay in San Diego, California.
All of the student-athletes row with Texas Rowing Center (TRC), an external club team based in Austin. At LASA, these students are represented through our LASA Rowing Club, which celebrates and supports their achievements in the sport.
We’re proud to highlight the following student accomplishments from this year’s SDCC:
Molly Stromberger and Natasa Kinzy placed 5th in the Women’s Youth Quad, a highly competitive national-level event.
Hanxiang Mu earned 1st place in the PR3 Inclusive Double, a new event category introduced for the first time ever at SDCC to promote inclusion in adaptive rowing.
These results reflect the hard work, dedication, and perseverance of LASA students both on and off the water. We’re proud to represent LASA through our involvement with TRC and hope to continue growing awareness of rowing as a sport within our school community.
