19 LASA High School students were honored as Texas Music Scholars on May 17, 2025.

The 19 students who achieved this honor are:

• Seniors:  Kirby Barnhill, Alyssa Darling, Cole Henson, Luke Lipton, Ryan Lopez, Summer McCurdy, and Annabella Smith
• Juniors:  Avi Beskrowni, Fred Boynton, Sean Lin, Kai Mayeda, Sam Robinson, and Jacob Salas
• Sophomores:  August Martin and Liam Smith
• Freshmen:  Timothy Matuhov, Anderson McCurdy, Jackson Moede, and Ryan Zou.

The award is given by the Texas Music Educators Association, which sponsors the Texas All-State Bands, Orchestras and Choirs.  This award is given to students who have exhibited outstanding qualities in scholastic merit, musicianship, and citizenship in their school and community during the 2024-2025 school year.
